No Respect
So tonight Brent Henderson, Ryan Daily, and I all went to Thunderbird skatepark to blade it up for the evening. Not even five minutes of being there some "old school' skateboarder starts bitching about us "damn fruitbooters" because he accidentally got cut off by one of us. Instantly, I turn my head and say, "what the fuck man? why do you have to call us fruitbooters for no damn reason. It's not like we did it on purpose. So the guy being the great "role model" he is replies, "that's what you are called fruitbooters."
Me being the bigger person just skated away, and continued on with my session. The thing that gets me, is that throughout the night we would skate passed them way out of their way and they would still mumble out "stupid fruitbooters." What in their right minds is wrong with them? For being the guys who have been doing it since "1981" they have no reason to talk shit to us. In mine and most of my peers opinions, they are envious of the fact that we are essentially what "they" used to be.
An underground industry that gets no respect from anyone.

Bearings & Bruises: By LA All Day

Bearings & Bruises was put together by Tracey White, Carlos Kessell and Dan Kinney which took place in Rockford Illinoise on August 9th। The Blade part went down very well minus the rain for a bit। But they all waited it out and lo-and-behold the sun came out and the water was gone। I personally go to every LA All Day event, and was unable to make it to this one. Tracey dedicates every source he has to getting all these events set up to help promote rollerblading, in any way possible. I first met Tracey at Bittercold Showdown 2009 up in Royal Oak, MI and he was more stoked to be there more than some skaters.
Enough with the jabber here is the edit from the Bearing & Bruises contest.
